DANIELSVILLE, Pa. --- The Moravian College golf team completed its 2013-14 season with a 328-334 loss to DeSales University in a dual match versus the Bulldogs at a blustery Woodstone Country Club Wednesday.
Freshman Dan Leppert paced the Greyhounds with a round of 79 on the par 72 course, which was good enough for the second lowest round as the winds howled between 20-30 MPH when the groups teed off around 1:00 p.m. Freshman Aaron Brown had an 81 for Moravian, the third best 18-hole score of the 15 players on the course, while sophomore Evan Dickinson had an 85.
Sophomore Jim Maru had an 89 to round out Moravian's cards that went to the team score. Freshman James Lobb carded an 87 while freshman Andrew Garino had an 88 and freshman Dan Loughlin had a 91. Senior Eric Schultz, playing his final collegiate round, and junior Scott Nevenglosky each had rounds of 95.
Cory Schmidt shot an even par 72 to lead DeSales.
