TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Tyler Smith has been honored as the Landmark Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Smith, who earned his fourth Landmark Conference honor of the year and first of the spring, had his best round of the season with an even par 71 in the second round of the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational last Monday as he finished in a tie for sixth with a 150 after improving eight strokes from his first round score.

"Tyler has always been a solid player and to bounce back with an even par 71 at Glenmaura shows how good a competitor he is," noted Head Coach Kevin Edwards.

Moravian is scheduled to compete in the inaugural Landmark Conference Championship Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6 being hosted by The University of Scranton at the Glenmaura National Golf Course in Moosic. The winner of the tournament will earn the conference's automatic berth to the 2018 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.
