Hounds Finish Eighth at Muhlenberg Invitational

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College golf team finished eighth of 17 teams at the Muhlenberg College Invitational Monday afternoon played at the Lehigh Country Club.

The Greyhounds recorded a four-man team score of 323 while Swarthmore College captured the team title with a 303.

Junior Nick Kuhn paced the Greyhounds with a six-over par round of 75 that included one birdie and 11 pars as Kuhn finished in a tie for sixth of the 84 golfers on the course. Sophomore Victor Tavares was tied for 26th with 79 which included 10 pars while senior Joe Rochelle also had 10 pars as he shot an 82 to finish in a tie for 42nd. Senior Kody Long carded an 87 with six pars to finish in a tie for 60th while sophomore Thomas Lakata was tied for 68th with a 92 that included six pars.

The Hounds are scheduled to return to action on Thursday, October 11 in the John Makuvek Cup being hosted by DeSales University at Brookside Country Club at 12:30 p.m. Moravian is looking for its third straight win among the three local NCAA Division III schools.
