MACUNGIE, Pa. --- The Moravian College golf team captured the John Makuvek Cup for the fourth straight year, defeating host DeSales University and rival Muhlenberg College, 325-333-337, at Brookside Country Club Thursday afternoon.

"It was a tough day today which is reflected by the scores," stated Head Coach Kevin Edwards, who played his college golf at Moravian under John Makuvek during Makuek's 43-year run as Moravian's Head Coach. "I am really proud of how the guys hung in there and battled today. It is always a highlight to win the Makuvek Cup in honor of a man I admire so much and who means so much to our program."

Senior Joe Rochelle finished in a three-way tie for first after the regulation 18 holes with a round of 79 before falling in the playoff hole won by Albert McFadden of DeSales. Rochelle's eight-over par round included two birdies and nine pars.
