BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Moravian College men's basketball team (12-10, 7-4 Landmark) hits the road this weekend for a pair of Landmark Conference games. They head to Drew University tonight, February 10th and travel to the United States Merchant Marine Academy tomorrow, February 11th.

Last weekend, the Greyhounds split the conference weekend as they defeated Susquehanna University, 68-64, but lost to Juniata College, 65-50.

1,000 Points: Junior guard D.J. Strayhorn scored his 1,000th collegiate point last weekend. He currently has 1,030 points while earning 719 points with Moravian and 311 at Marywood University his freshman year. Strayhorn also ranks third in the conference with 19.8 points per game and first with 2.30 steals per game.

Clearing the Glass: Junior guard Garrett Johnson is sixth in the conference with 5.6 rebounds per game. He is also seventh in the conference with 13.5 points per game this season.

The Charity Stripe: The Greyhounds have the second best free throw percentage in the conference at .706 (334-for473).

Drew: Drew (5-17, 3-8 Landmark) is led by senior guard Asmar Capers, who leads the Landmark Conference with 20.8 points per game. Junior guard Terrell Brown leads the conference in rebounds per game (7.5) to go with his 12.5 points per contest. The Greyhounds will have to contain the Rangers from behind the arc as they lead the conference with 187 three-pointers. Moravian lost to Drew, 69-60, in its first meeting led by the Rangers sophomore guard John Ford's 29 points.

USMMA: USMMA (10-12, 5-6 Landmark) has the conference's best field goal defense, only holding its opponents to a .410 (499-for-1,216) field goal percentage. Sophomore forward Reed Buck leads the Mariners with 20.6 points per contest, which ranks him second in the conference. Senior guard Kevin Kerr is the floor general, ranking fifth best in the conference in assists per game (3.27). The Greyhounds defeated USMMA, 87-76, earlier this season. Strayhorn and Johnson both put up 20-plus points in the contest.

Landmark Conference: The University of Scranton (16-6, 9-2) sits in first place and is the only team to clinch a postseason berth. Juniata (15-7, 7-4) and Moravian (12-10, 7-4) are tied for second place. The Catholic University of America (16-6, 6-5) and Susquehanna University (12-9, 6-5) are tied for fourth place. USMMA (10-12, 5-6) is in sixth place. Drew University (5-17, 3-8) and Goucher College (4-17, 1-10) round out the bottom of the conference, and both have been eliminated from postseason play.

Next Weekend: Moravian hosts The University of Scranton in the final home contest and final game of the season. The contest is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 18th. It is also senior day for the Greyhounds.
