Bethlehem, Pa.--- The Moravian College men's basketball team has selected senior guard Izel Dickerson and senior forward Garrett Kashmer as its 2014-15 season captains.

"Izel and Garrett were selected as captains because of their experience as four-year varsity players and their leadership skills," commented Head Men's Basketball Coach James Walker. "Izel has been a starter for three years at the guard position and last season was our leading scorer."

Dickerson, who is serving his second season as team captain, averaged 33.3 minutes per-game, 14.2 points a game while scoring 327 points, 57 assists, 64 rebounds and 26 steals on the year for the Greyhounds. He was also named to the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Team of the Year by the LVSCB Organization.

Kashmer played in 385 minutes for the Hounds last season recording 56 points, seven blocks, four steals, 18 assists and 75 rebounds.

"Garrett has gained the respect of his teammates through his determination and hard work to earn playing time which has increased in each of this three seasons and through his off season leadership of the team," stated Walker.

The Blue and Grey are getting set to kick-off the season at the Gettysburg Tournament with games on Saturday, November 15 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 16.
