BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's basketball squad selected seniors Will Brazukas, Nicholas Casazza, Oneil Holder and Jimmy Murray as captains for the 2018-19 season.
"It is great to have Jimmy, Oneil, Nick and Will as captains this year," stated fourth-year Head Coach Justin Potts. "Every guy brings great leadership in their own way. They have all been important pieces in our program for four years. They understand the responsibility that comes with being a captain and have done a great job focusing on our core values daily. They are great representatives of the program and will impact the program just like several captains did before them."
Brazukas has played in 84 games through December 1 and has started 39 in his career. He has contributed 272 points, 251 assists against just 157 turnovers, 145 rebounds, 100 steals and eight blocked shots in his career.
Casazza, who set a school record with 72 three-pointers made during the 2017-18 season, sits at 394 points, 100 three-pointers, 81 rebounds, 57 assists against just 40 turnovers and 52 steals in his 60 career games, which includes a pair of starts.
Holder, the 2016 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year and a member of the Landmark All-Conference First Team in 2018, has played in 87 career contests with 83 starts, and he became the 15th player in school history to reach 1,200 career points on December 1 and has a total of 1,217 points at Moravian. Holder is also 11th all-time with 561 rebounds to go with 112 assists, 94 steals, 89 blocked shots and 60 three-pointers at this time.
Murray, who made the Landmark All-Conference First Team and D3hoops.com All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team last winter and the All-Conference Second Team in 2017, was the 14th player to reach 1,200 points and has 1,220 career points in 81 games through December 1. Murray also has a school record 179 three-pointers in his career to go with 154 rebounds, 121 assists, 86 steals and 29 blocked shots, and he has started 76 games.
The Greyhounds, who are 4-2 on the season, are scheduled to return to the court on Wednesday, December 5 in a non-conference contest at Immaculata University beginning at 7:00 p.m.
