Dougherty & Paulillo Named to 2021-22 NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has announced the 2021-22 NABC Honors Court, recognizing more than 2,000 men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season. The list includes Moravian University juniors Nate Dougherty and Joe Paulillo and a total of 30 men's basketball student-athletes from the Landmark Conference.

The NABC Honors Court highlights the talents and gifts that these men possess on the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom. In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The qualifications are as follows: 1. Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player. 2. Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2021-22 academic year. 3. Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution. 4. Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.

Dougherty started all 25 games in 2021-22 for the Greyhounds, contributing 12.1 points per contest to go along with 76 rebounds, 53 assists, 39 three-pointers, 15 steals and seven blocked shots. He has 403 points, 138 rebounds, 72 assists, 53 three-pointers, 30 steals and nine blocked shots in 56 career games with 37 starts with the Hounds. Dougherty is a two-time member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, and he has been named to the Moravian Dean's Honors List four times. He is majoring in sports management with a minor in economics.

Paulillo was limited to just a pair of games in 2021-22 due to an injury. In ten games over two seasons, he has 31 points, 24 rebounds, four steals, two assists and two blocked shots. Paulillo is a two-time member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, and he has been named to the Moravian Dean's Honors List three times. He is majoring in sociology.
