MOOSIC, Pa. --- The Moravian University golf squad captured first of six teams in the two-day Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational hosted by The University of Scranton at Glenmaura National Golf Club Sunday and Monday.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds had a 27-hole team score of 479 to finish five strokes ahead of host Scranton while future Landmark Conference foe Wilkes University was third with a 496
- The tournament was slated for 36 holes with 18 each day; however, Sunday's opening round was cut to just nine holes due to extremely cold and windy weather conditions
Moravian Results
- Graduate student Nick Kuhn earned runner-up honors among the 30 golfers with a 27-hole total of 116. Kuhn was one of three Greyhounds to shoot 39 in the opening nine holes, which was second on Sunday. Kuhn fired a six-over par round of 77
- Graduate student Thomas Lakata took third with a tournament score of 118 with a 39 on Sunday and a 79 on Monday
- Junior Andrew Hozza finished in a tie for seventh with a 121 that included a 39 in the opening nine holes and an 82 to complete the tournament
- Freshman T.J. Bohl took 12th with a two-day score of 124 with a 44 on Sunday and an 80 on Monday
- Senior Will Breslin rounded out the Moravian lineup in a tie for 15th with a tournament total of 128 after carding an opening round 44 and then and 82 on Monday
