Schicke Named to ECAC DIII South Men's Lacrosse All-Star Second Team

DANBURY, Conn. --- Moravian College freshman long stick midfielder Jimmy Schicke has been named to the 2017 ECAC Division III South Men's Lacrosse All-Star Second Team.

Schicke helped the Greyhounds to a 6-8 mark this spring as the program played its first Landmark Conference regular season since 2010. Schicke, who was selected to the Landmark All-Conference First Team, had 46 ground balls, 17 caused turnovers and one goal in his debut season. He also went 12-of-33 on face-offs while starting all 14 matches in his rookie season.

"Jimmy played consistent all spring and had a big impact on our season," stated Head Coach Dave Carty. "He came from a great high school program and made the transition to college well. His size and athleticism make him a prototypical long stick midfielder and he made progress in his game all season. He was great on ground balls and face-offs for us as a freshman and a consistent player."
