ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's lacrosse squad dropped a 12-3 decision at Elizabethtown College in Landmark Conference action Saturday.
How It Happened
- The squads played a scoreless first period, the first of the season for the Hounds where neither team scored
- Senior attack Cade Siddron put Moravian on the scoreboard first with the opening goal a little under two minutes into the second quarter. Elizabethtown responded with three goals later in the period to lead 3-1 at the intermission
- The Blue Jays then scored the first six goals of the third quarter before junior attack Connor James scored for the Hounds to make it a 9-2 match after 45 minutes of action
- Siddron began the scoring in the final quarter with a man-up goal but Elizabethtown netted three more goals to finish off the scoring
Inside the Numbers
- Siddron led Moravian with two goals and an assist while James had one goal and one assist
- Senior long stick midfielder Jimmy Schicke led the Greyhounds with five ground balls as he became the fourth player in program history to reach 200 career ground balls
- Senior face-off specialist Max Towers was 9-for-13 on face-offs with four ground balls while senior defender Tanner Leslie and freshman long stick midfielder Matt Baer both had three ground balls
- Sophomore goalie Sean DeMott recorded 13 saves for the Blue and Grey, and he also had three ground balls
