Men's Soccer Falls to Drew

The Moravian College men's soccer team fell to conference foe Drew University Saturday afternoon, 5-1. Greyhounds' junior goalie Mike Brand made ten saves in the game.

The Rangers got on the board quickly when sophomore RJ Voorman netted his first goal just three minutes in. Drew would add to its lead ten minutes later when freshman John Nogiewich scored his first goal of the game to take a 2-0 lead. Moravian would cut that lead in half five minutes later with a goal from sophomore midfielder/forward Jeffrey Algor who would net his second goal of the season. The Rangers would take a 2-1 lead into the half.

Just five minutes into the second half Drew would make the score 3-1 with a goal by sophomore Richard Castro. The Rangers would add two more goals from Nogiewich and junior Ian Elfers.
Junior goalkeeper for Drew, Rich Boland made four saves in 76 minutes of work and allowed one goal.

The Greyhounds return to action Wednesday, October 5 when they travel to Rowan University for a non-conference game at 7 p.m. Moravian returns home next Saturday, October 8 when they host conference rival Juniata College. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m.
