Men's Soccer Falls to Wesley College

Bethlehem, Pa.---The Moravian College men's soccer team traveled to Wesley College for a close fought non-conference match up, falling 1-0 to the Wolverines Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore midfielder Saul Marical took the first shot of the game, but the keeper was able to save the shot around the four-minute mark. Marical would be back in the eighth minute looking to redeem himself, but his shot missed just wide for the Greyhounds.

In the 25th minute the Blue and Grey had another opportunity to get on the scoreboard with a corner kick from freshman midfielder/defender Corey Klaskin, but the defense would hold off the attack.

Junior forward Zachary Klein made his way down field and took a hard shot that would hit off the post and be cleared out by the defense in the 28th minute. The Hounds looking to put in a goal before half on a corner kick by sophomore midfielder Robert McKinley, but came up empty heading into half tied 0-0.

Wesley College scored in the 51st minute off a corner kick. Sophomore Ian Larimer looked to equalize in the 72nd minute but hit wide for a final score of 1-0.

Junior goalkeeper Brian Boland made four saves for the Greyhounds.

The Greyhounds return home on September 17 against Penn State-Berks for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff on the HUB Quad.
