Yaskowski Named Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College junior goalie Bryan Yaskowski has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week for his performance over the last week.

Yaskowski posted a 0.41 goals-against average and eight saves in 220 minutes last week as the Greyhounds played to a pair of double-overtime draws in Landmark Conference action. Yaskowski made four saves in a 0-0 draw are Drew University last Wednesday for his fourth shutout of the year. He finished the regular season with four more saves in a 1-1 tie versus Susquehanna University.

"I'm very pleased that Bryan has been named Defensive Player of the Week for the Landmark Conference," commented Head Coach Todd Ervin. "He has had some great performances in net this year and this past week he proved how essential he is to our teams' success. He was fantastic in both the Drew and Susquehanna matches and I'm thrilled that we still have him for another year."

Moravian completed its regular season with an 8-4-4 record; going 4-0-4 over the final eight matches of the season, and the Greyhounds were 2-2-3 in Landmark Conference action. The Blue and Grey will find out on Monday, November 7 if the season will continue in the ECAC Division III Championship Tournament.
