BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's soccer squad remained unbeaten on the year with three late goals leading to a 3-0 non-conference victory over Berkeley (N.Y.) College on John Makuvek Field Saturday night.

The Hounds improved to 5-0-1 on the year with the squad's fifth clean sheet of the fall. Senior goalie Bryan Yaskowski made six saves in 81 minutes of action while sophomore keeper Matthew Miller had one save in the final nine minutes of the contest. The Blue and Grey finished the evening with a 16-10 advantage in shots and a 10-2 edge in corner kicks.

The Greyhounds broke the scoreless tie in the 72nd minute. Senior midfielder Connor Phillips drove in a free kick from the near sideline that junior defender Matthew Clayton headed towards the goal. After the initial save, junior defender Akinori Mollenthiel blasted the ball into the net for his first goal of the season.

Moravian would score twice more in a span of 1:21 just three minutes after the first goal to extend the lead to 3-0. Phillips took a long shot that was saved but the rebound popped over to the feet of sophomore midfielder Dylan Evande, who found the net for the third time this season in the 75th minute. Phillips would pick up his first assist of the season in the 77th minute as he slid a pass over to junior defender Rocky Fatuova, who found the right side of the net from across the 18-yard box with his first goal of the season and the second of his career.

"I thought we played well for the first 20 minutes of the match but it dropped off a little bit from there," stated Head Coach Todd Ervin. "We talked about coming out with energy at halftime which I thought we were lacking in the first half. I thought the guys turned it around pretty well in the second half. We were able to come out and get three goals in the end."

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, September 20 when the squad hosts Stockton (N.J.) University in a non-conference contest beginning at 7:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
