BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's soccer team lost its first Landmark Conference match of the season, falling to Drew University, 3-0, Saturday night on John Makuvek Field.

The Greyhounds fall to 6-2-1 on the season and 1-1 in Landmark Conference play as the Hounds allowed three goals in the final ten minutes of action. The three tallies match the total that Moravian's defense had given up in the first eight matches of the season.

The Blue and Grey had the first opportunity to score when freshman midfielder Alec Aloia fired a shot on the keeper in the fifth minute. Junior defender Akinori Mollenthiel was just wide of the net with a shot on a corner kick two minutes later. Freshman forward Ethan Blakely had the keeper out of position in the 23rd minute but his shot trickled just wide of the left post, and sophomore midfielder Dylan Evande drilled a shot on the Drew goalie in the 25th minute.

Moravian senior goalie Bryan Yaskowski made five saves in the match including four in the first half with two in the final three minutes to keep the contest scoreless at the intermission. Yaskowski made another stop in the 55th minute; however, the Hounds were unable to generate much offense in the second half.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, October 4 when the squad heads to Elizabethtown College for a Landmark Conference contest beginning at 7:00 p.m.
