WASHINGTON, D.C. --- The Moravian College men's soccer team fell to the Catholic University of America, 2-1, in Landmark Conference action Saturday afternoon.

The Greyhounds, now 1-2-2 in conference play and 6-4-3 overall, would get just three shots off, two being on goal. Catholic would get on the board first with a header coming off of a corner kick that got past the Moravian keeper.

The Blue and Grey's first shot on goal would come off of a penalty kick by senior midfielder Connor Phillips in the 10th minute that would find the back of the net and knot the game at 1-1. In the 23rd minute, the Cardinals would take the lead and keep it with another goal, pushing the lead to 2-1. Moravian would have an opportunity late in the half with a header by junior midfielder Rocky Fatuova that was saved.

Moravian would get three shots off in the second half of action, but the lone shot on goal came in the 61st minute from senior midfielder Brett Lubben that could not get by the goalie. The Greyhounds were outshot 19-6 and edged 9-3 in corner kicks.

Greyhounds' senior goalie Bryan Yaskowski made four saves, one in the first half, three saves in the second half.

Moravian is slated to return to action on Wednesday, October 18 in a non-conference match at New Jersey City University starting at 3:00 p.m.
