Mollenthiel, Phillips & Yaskowski Earn Landmark Men's Soccer All-Conference Honors

Akinori Mollenthiel '19, Connor Phillips '18 and Bryan Yaskowski '18 named to the 2017 Landmark Men's Soccer All-Conference Teams.

TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian College men's soccer squad has had a trio of players named to the 2017 Landmark All-Conference Teams with senior midfielder Connor Phillips and junior defender Akinori Mollenthiel earning spots on the First Team and senior goalie Bryan Yaskowski on the Second Team.

The Greyhounds posted an 8-5-4 record for the season and were 2-3-2 in Landmark Conference action.

Phillips, who was selected to the All-Conference First Team for the second straight fall, led the squad with three assists this year, and he added three goals for nine points. Phillips concluded his career with 18 goals and 11 assists for 47 career points in 49 matches with four game-winning goals.

Mollenthiel, who was also named to the All-Conference First Team for a second consecutive season, had one goal this fall and also helped Moravian's defense allow just 17 goals in 17 matches with seven shutouts. Over the past three seasons, Mollenthiel has played in 42 matches for the Greyhounds with one goal.

Yaskowski, who was honored on the Landmark All-Conference Second Team for a second straight year, finished his second season as a starter with a 0.89 goals-against average, 66 saves, an 8-4-3 mark and five solo shutouts in 1,423 minutes of action. Yaskowski completed his career with a 1.03 goals-against average to go with 155 saves, a 14-12-8 record and ten shutouts in 3,331 minutes of action over 38 matches which included 32 starts. Yaskowski's career GAA is the lowest in program history since 1989, and his ten career shutouts is tied for sixth in the Moravian record book.
