Nagy Named to CoSIDA Men's Soccer Academic All-District IV Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Junior midfielder Anthony Nagy of the Moravian College men's soccer team has been named to the 2020-21 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team for NCAA Division III schools in District IV.

To be eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America® honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.30 grade-point average, be a sophomore, junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve. District IV in NCAA Division III is made up of schools from Pennsylvania. Moravian has had 53 Greyhounds named CoSIDA Academic All-Americans®.

By making the All-District First Team, Nagy is now forwarded onto the national ballot to try for CoSIDA Academic All-America® accolades, which will be announced Wednesday, July 7. There are a total of two student-athletes from the Landmark Conference on Academic All-District Teams.

Nagy has started in 35 of 37 career matches that he has seen action in, and Nagy has netted 13 goals including seven game-winning markers, and four assists for 30 career points. He is 5-for-6 on penalty kicks during his career. In 2019, Nagy was named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team and the Landmark All-Conference First Team, and he was honored as the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year and on the All-Conference Second Team in 2018.

Off the pitch, Nagy has a 3.62 GPA as a finance major and accounting minor. He is a member of Moravian's Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society and also a two-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.

"Anthony has been a great representative of our program both on the field and in the classroom since he arrived in the fall of 2018. We look forward to what he will accomplish in the future."
