BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's soccer squad remained unbeaten in Landmark Conference action with a 1-0 victory over visiting Goucher College Wednesday evening on John Makuvek Field.
How It Happened
- The squads played a scoreless first half with the Hounds holding a 9-6 edge in shots over the opening 45 minutes
- The Blue & Grey notched the only goal of the contest just 3:31 into the second half on a corner kick. Sophomore midfielder Giuseppe Propato took the corner and send a ball on the ground toward the top right corner of the 18-yard box where sophomore defender Max Teneza played a low ball towards the far-left post. As the ball crossed the six-yard box, graduate student defender Vito Leone directed the ball into the middle of the net
Inside the Numbers
- Leone's goal was the first of his career as well as the first points of his collegiate career
- Propato earned his third assists of the season and fourth of his career while Teneza garnered his second assist of 2024 and third of his career
- Junior keeper Casey Prajzner registered seven saves for his second consecutive shutout
- The Hounds had a 16-14 advantage in shots while Goucher held a 7-6 edge in corner kicks
