Men's Tennis Sweeps USMMA to Stay Undefeated in Landmark Action

KING'S POINT, N.Y. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team posted a 9-0 victory at The United States Merchant Marine Academy Wednesday as the Greyhounds remained undefeated in Landmark Conference action.

Moravian, now 5-5 overall and 3-0 in Landmark contests, swept the doubles action to build a 3-0 lead. Freshmen Matt Tuorto and John Wylie won at first doubles while sophomore Lewis Cooper and freshman Libario Obeid earned a victory at second doubles. Senior Brad Kutcha and freshman C.J. Widdifield posted a win at third doubles.

All six Greyhounds had straight sets victories in singles action with Tuorto winning at first singles, Wylie at second singles, Obeid at third singles, Cooper at fourth singles, Kutcha at fifth singles and Widdifield at sixth singles.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, April 3rd when the squad hosts Ursinus College in a non-conference match at Hoffman Courts beginning at 4:00 p.m.
