Men's Tennis Evens Landmark Record by Sweeping Susquehanna

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team evened its Landmark Conference record at 3-3 on the season with a 9-0 sweep of Susquehanna University at Hoffman Courts Saturday.

The Greyhounds, who are undefeated at home in conference play, earned all three doubles victories. Sophomores Matt Tuorto and John Wylie had an 8-1 win at first doubles while junior Lewis Cooper and freshman Mike Antonis posted an 8-0 victory at second doubles. Sophomore C.J. Widdifield and freshman Giovanni Lombardi also had an 8-0 win at third doubles.

Moravian captured all six singles matches in straight sets with Tuorto at first singles, Antonis in fourth singles, Lombardi at fifth singles and freshman Dan Schmucker all winning by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Wylie at second singles and Cooper at third singles each had victories by 6-0, 6-2 scores.

The Hounds, 6-9 overall, are slated to return to action on Monday, April 14 in a non-conference match with Neumann University beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Hoffman Courts.
