TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College sophomore Peter Demyan has been selected as the Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
The Greyhounds began their 2017 spring season Sunday evening on Orlando, Florida with a match versus Aquinas (Mich.) College of the NAIA. Demyan was able to force a third set in his match at second singles with a 7-5 win in the second set.
"Peter is a very tenacious player and that's what makes him a tough opponent," commented Head Coach Alan Heverly. "No matter what, he starts and finishes a match well. He's been the most solid player on men's squad this season."
Moravian, which is 1-4 on the year, will continue its trip to Orlando on Tuesday, March 7 with a match versus Saint John's (Minn.) University beginning at 11:30 a.m.
