Greyhounds Drop Non-Conference Contest to DeSales on Hoffman Courts

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to DeSales University in non-conference action on Hoffman Courts Monday.

The Hounds, now 1-2 on the season, trailed 2-1 after doubles action as sophomore Christopher Csencsits and freshman Mason Hudnall earned a 9-8 (7-5) victory at second doubles.

Moravian earned a pair of three set wins in singles with junior Isaac Schefer posting a 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 triumph at second singles and Hudnall recording a 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 victory at fifth singles. Freshman Sean Kearns forced his sixth singles contest into a third set and then a tiebreaker before falling in the final competition of the match.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to close out their 2017 fall dual match schedule on Tuesday, September 26 when the squad welcomes Marywood University to Hoffman Courts for a 4:00 p.m. non-conference contest.
