Greyhounds Top Lycoming in Non-Conference Action for Third Straight Victory

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's tennis squad captured its third straight victory with a 7-2 win over visiting Lycoming College in non-conference action at Hoffman Courts Tuesday afternoon in the contest between future Landmark Conference opponents starting in 2023-24. 

How It Happened

  • The Hounds led 2-1 after the doubles action. The Blue and Grey opened a 1-0 lead with an 8-2 victory at third doubles from freshmen Zachary Lebby and Ronny Pimentel Ferrer while the Warriors evened the score at 1-1 with a win at first doubles. Moravian headed to singles with the lead after juniors Kieran Pisani and Justin Szaro posted an 8-7 (7-4) triumph at second doubles
  • Freshman Wyatt Marshall won 6-1, 6-2 at fifth singles to push the lead to 3-1 while junior Andrew Hozza made it 4-1 with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at sixth singles. Szaro clinched the winning team point with a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at second singles while freshman Anthony Ronca added a 6-2, 6-2 victory at first singles. Pisani picked up Moravian's final point of the match with a 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) win at fourth singles
