Hounds Top Juniata in Landmark Conference Match

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's tennis squad posted an 8-1 victory over visiting Juniata College in a Landmark Conference match at Hoffman Courts Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds swept the doubles action for an early 3-0 lead. The tandem of freshman Anthony Ronca and Wyatt Marshall opened the scoring with an 8-1 win at first doubles. Freshmen Zachary Lebby and Ronny Pimentel Ferrer earned an 8-0 triumph at third doubles while juniors Andrew Hozza and Kieran Pisani finished the sweep with an 8-6 victory at second doubles.
  • Marshall posted a quick 6-0, 6-0 win at fourth singles to make the score 4-0 before Juniata earned its only victory of the match at first singles. Lebby recorded a 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) triumph at second singles to garner the winning team point, and he was followed by Pisani, who won 6-3, 6-2 at third singles. Hozza added a 6-0, 6-1 victory at sixth singles while Pimentel Ferrer had a 6-1, 6-0 win at fifth singles to finish off the contest
