BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's tennis team dropped a Landmark Conference match to Susquehanna University in a very close 5-4 decision at Hoffman Courts Sunday afternoon.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds took a 2-1 lead after doubles action. The duo of Freshmen Anthony Ronca and Wyatt Marshall were off the courts first with an 8-5 win at first doubles while freshmen Ronny Pimentel Ferrer and Zachary Lebby earned an 8-3 victory at third doubles. The River Hawks earned their lone victory in doubles play at second singles
- In singles play, Susquehanna claimed their second point of the match at second singles to tie things at 2-2 before junior Kieran Pisani claimed a victory at third singles, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-1), to put the Greyhounds back in front, 3-2. Hozza was next off the courts with a 6-3, 6-3 win at fifth singles to put the Hounds up 4-2 but the River Hawks claimed the final three points of the match. After a three-plus hour match at first singles, Susquehanna earned the point for that flight, followed by victories at fourth and sixth singles to conclude the match
