Moravian Opens Landmark Conference Campaign with Win at Elizabethtown

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's tennis squad began the 2023-24 Landmark Conference season with an 8-1 Sunday at Elizabethtown College in a match played in the Bower Center due to the weather.

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds won all three doubles matches with the duo of juniors Wyatt Marshall and Ronny Pimentel Ferrer earning the first point with an 8-2 victory at second doubles. Sophomore Shayaan Farhad and junior Anthony Ronca earned an 8-2 win at first doubles while junior Zachary Lebby and sophomore Matthew Labosky recorded an 8-1 triumph at third doubles to complete the doubles sweep
  • Marshall was the first off the courts in singles action with a 6-2, 6-1 win at third singles while Farhad garnered the winning team point with a 3-6, 6-0, 12-10 triumph at first singles. Pimentel Ferrer registered an 8-2 victory at fourth singles while freshman Gavin Labbadia posted an 8-0 win at fifth singles. Sophomore Ryan Burke completed the match with an 8-0 triumph at sixth single
