SWARTHMORE, Pa. --- Sophomore Ryan Karnopp placed third in the pole vault with an ECAC qualifying height of 4.65 meters (15 feet, three inches) to lead the Moravian College men's track & field team at the Swarthmore College Final Qualifier Monday.
Freshman Kahron Walker took fourth in the high jump at 1.88 meters (six feet, two inches) while junior Chris Ossont placed seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 13.15 meters (43 feet, 1.75 inches.
Senior Frank Yannotta finished 12th in the discus with a toss of 38.98 meters (127 feet, 11 inches) while junior Jeffrey Gallagher was 13th at 38.89 meters (127 feet, 7.25 inches) and freshman Greg Cahill took 15th with a toss of 36.89 meters (121 feet, 0.75 inches). Freshman Ljuboslav Boskic was 17th in the shot put with a toss of 12.88 meters (42 feet, 3.25 inches).
On the track, freshman Cory Taggert placed 14th in the 400 meter dash in 51.06 seconds. Freshman Matt Barnett was 18th in the 100 meter dash in 11.46 seconds while sophomore John Barr was 18th in the 200 meter dash in 23.33 seconds. Junior Dillon Farrell was 38th in the 800 meter run in 1:55.54 while freshman Andrew Mitchell was 61st in 2:00.20.
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Thursday and Friday, May 15 and 16 when the squad heads to the 2014 ECAC Division III Outdoor Championships being hosted by RPI.
