DiLolle & Spirk Run ECAC Times at Lehigh Fast Times Before Finals

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's indoor track & field team posted a pair of ECAC qualifying marks at the non-scoring Lehigh University Fast Times Before Finals meet at Rauch Fieldhouse Saturday.

Freshman Billy DiLolle turned in an ECAC qualifying time of 7.07 seconds, the ninth fastest time in school history, in the finals of the 60-meter dash to finish third, and he was fourth in the preliminaries in 7.15 seconds while junior Eric Morton and senior Austin Gardener were both tied for tenth at 7.23 seconds.

Sophomore John Spirk ran an ECAC qualifying time of 8.56 seconds to place third in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles, and was third in the preliminaries in 8.71 seconds. Spirk also ran the leadoff leg of Moravian's 4x400-meter relay squad with senior Cory Taggert, sophomore Na'im Pretlow and freshman Coulter Lewis that finished second in 3:34.56.

The Greyhounds had a pair of teams run in the 4x800-meter relay with the quartet of junior Andrew Mitchell, sophomore Devon Harris and freshmen Greg Jaindl and Alex Tursi  finishing seventh in 8:21.34. Junior Mike Kopach, sophomores Aaron Hofmann and Benjamin Smith and freshmen Justin Beasley-Turner combined for a time of 8:31.06 to finish eighth.

Senior Kyle Hagerty was sixth in the long jump with a leap of 6.63 meters (20-9.25) while senior Greg Cahill was ninth in the 35-pound weight throw with a toss of 14.19 meters (46-6.75). Cahill also placed ninth in the shot put with a toss of 13.27 meters (43-6.5) while sophomore Scott Goodwin was fifth in the pole vault at 4.25 meters (13-11.25).

The Greyhounds have over a month off before the team is scheduled to return to action at the Great Dane Classic being competed at the Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island, New York on Saturday, January 14, 2017.
