Walker Captures High Jump at St. Joseph's (N.Y.) Winter Indoor Invitational

SOUTH HUNTINGTON, N.Y. --- Senior jumper Kahron Walker paced the Moravian College mens indoor track & field team with a first place finish in the high jump at the St. Joseph's College (N.Y.) Winter Indoor Invitational as he cleared an ECAC qualifying height of 1.95 meters (6-4.75).

Walker's jump scored 10 points for the Greyhounds, who were ninth of 20 teams scoring points with 11 points. Sophomore John Spirk also competed in the high jump and was tied for seventh at 1.80 meters (5-10.75).

On the track, senior Austin Gardener was ninth in the 200-meter dash in 23.14 seconds, and he also ran the leadoff leg of Moravian's 4x200-meter relay squad that was sixth in 1:34.65. Joining Gardener on the relay squad were Spirk, freshman Billy DiLolle and senior Cory Taggert.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to compete in their final tune-up for the Landmark Conference Championships at the Kutztown University 6-Team Qualifier on Saturday, February 18.
