Moravian Captures 8th Straight Landmark Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Title

SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's indoor track & field team captured its eighth straight Landmark Conference Indoor Championships Saturday at Susquehanna University with a 37-point advantage over the host River Hawks.

The Greyhounds scored 152 points to 115 for Susquehanna, and Elizabethtown finished third at 112 points. The Greyhounds had five individual event winners and also captured one relay victory. Head Coach Jesse Baumann and his staff were selected as the Landmark Conference Coaching Staff of the Year.

"One of the things we stressed in our team meeting Friday was that things won't go as expected and not to get flustered by it," stated Baumann. "That couldn't have been more true than it was today, but the team handled it well and stepped up. The weight throwers had some great PRs, Goodwin was his usual steady self, our short sprinters were stellar, Cash had a great meet, Hagerty had a great long jump, and our middle distance crew handled championship racing extremely well. It was a total team effort today, and we're proud of how the team fought."

Senior Kyle Hagerty captured the long jump with an ECAC qualifying mark of 6.77 meters (22-2.5) while sophomore Scott Goodwin won the pole vault with an ECAC qualifying height of 4.57 meters (15-0).
