Eight Former Greyhounds Selected to Landmark Conference All-Decade Team for Men's Outdoor Track & Field

TOWSON, Md. --- The 2016-17 season marks the 10th year anniversary for the Landmark Conference. To help celebrate, the Landmark is featuring individuals that have stood out over the past 10 years.

Athletes that were named All-Conference First Team a minimum of two times, and/or were named Landmark Player of the Year, during their career were nominated automatically, and each team had the opportunity to nominate additional individuals for consideration. The All-Decade team was selected by the membership and is being announced prior to the conference championship.

Ozzie Brown from the class of 2010, Nicco Dalpiaz of the class of 2012, Timothy Layng from the class of 2012, Blair Maginnis from the class of 2009, Parker Munson of the class of 2015, Donnie Noble from the class of 2013, Nate Tussey of the class of 2009 and Eric Woodruff from the class of 2011 were selected to the Men's Outdoor Track & Field All-Decade Team with Moravian having won eight of the first nine Landmark Conference titles heading into the 2017 meet on May 6-7 in Bethlehem.

Brown competed one year in the Landmark, but made an impact. Brown won six events at the outdoor meet: 100m, 200m 110mH, 4x100 relay, 4x400m relay, and long jump. Brown capped off his career with being selected as the 2008 Landmark Field Athlete of the Year and was a member of the 2008 Greyhound Landmark Championship team. He would go on to win the NCAA Division III National Championship in the decathlon that spring.

Dalpiaz was a five-time First Team All-Conference selection for Moravian. He won the 110mH in 2011 and 2012 and was a member of the 2011 and 2012 winning 4x100 meter relays. He was a three-time Academic Honor Roll selection.

Layng was the Landmark pole vault champion in 2009, 2010, and 2012, with his best mark coming in 2012 with a height of 4.80m. Layng was named to the Academic Honor Roll in each eligible semester.

Maginnis won the shot put and the discus in 2008 and 2009, and was the champion in the hammer in 2009. Maginnis was named the 2008 Field Athlete of the Year and earned a spot on the Landmark Academic Honor Roll teams in 2008 and 2009.

Munson won the discus in 2014, 2015, and 2016, and the shot put in 2015, and 2016. He was named Field Athlete of the Year in 2016. He also earned Academic Honor Roll honors in 2013 and 2016.

Noble won the 5,000m in 2011 and 2013, the 3,000 steeplechase in 2011, and was the champion in the 1,500m and 10,000m races in 2013, earning him five All-Conference First Team nods. Noble was named Track Athlete of the Year in 2011 and 2013.

Tussey was a six-time First Team All-Conference performer for the Greyhounds. He was a two-time champion in the 400mH and 4x400m relay team.

Woodruff was a 10-time First Team All-Conference Selection from 2009-2011, including a three-time selection in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100. He was also a three-time selection in the 200m dash. Woodruff was voted the Track Athlete of the Year in 2009, and he finished his career as a three-time NCAA Division III National Champion in the 200m and once in the 100m.

"Coaches Pollard, Wandall, Will-Webber, Lawryk and many others helped to establish a great tradition at Moravian that has facilitated the culture to attract top notch athletes, as we can see with this recognition," stated Head Coach Jessie Baumann, who is in his sixth season leading the program. "Athletes like Ozzie and Eric were not only NCAA Champions but are still on the Division III All Time Top 10 lists. Others like Tim, Nicco, and Nate have represented Moravian at the NCAAs if not earned All American honors. These are just a few of the great athletes we've been fortunate enough to work with that have helped to sustain the strong tradition we've had here with our track and field program for many years."
