COLLEGE PARK, Md. --- Moravian College senior Robert Condo opened the Greyhounds' 2018 outdoor season by winning the javelin at the University of Maryland Invitational Saturday afternoon.

Condo had a winning toss of 55.56 meters (182-3) in his first event since competing at the 2017 NCAA Division III National Championships back in May. Condo threw the distance on his opening attempt, and threw better than 50.86 meters on all six of his throws. He finished nearly 14 feet ahead of the next competitor.

Moravian's full team will begin its 2018 season at the West Chester University Golden Ram Invitational on Saturday, March 24.
