BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's outdoor track & field team won a pair of events and had a trio of regional qualifying marks at the John & Carol Covert Classic hosted by Lehigh University Saturday.
Moravian Event Winners
- Sophomore Jerome Luckey won the high jump at an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying height of 1.97 meters (6-5.5)
- Sophomore Bryan Kerchner won the 1,500-meter run with an AARTFC qualifying time of 3:59.08
Moravian Top 10 Finishers
- Freshman Michael Schippnick was fifth in the 5,000-meter run in 16:25.42
- Sophomore Liam Maguire placed sixth in the 400-meter hurdles in 59.65 seconds
- Freshman Jordan Gagner finished seventh in the 400-meter dash in 52.05 seconds
- Graduate student Tim King took seventh in the hammer throw on Friday with an AARTFC qualifying and PR toss of 50.24 meters (164-10), the second-best distance in program history
- King was also seventh in the shot put at 13.92 meters (45-8) while senior Jeremy Goll placed tenth at 13.91 meters (45-7.75)
- King had a third seventh place finish in the discus with a toss of 43.19 meters (141-8)
- Junior Jake Farrell placed eighth in the 1,500-meter run at 4:06.05
- Maguire was tenth in the 110-meter high hurdles in 17.51 seconds
- The Greyhounds 4x400-meter "B" relay of Kerchner, graduate student Christian Jancsarics, senior Paul Petre and junior Geoffrey Kleinberg took fourth in 3:38.45 while the "A" relay of Farrell, Gagner, senior Casey Frank and sophomore Joe Allegro was fifth in 3:41.04
