Why did you choose Moravian College?
There is a sense of tradition here that captured my attention and gave me a strong feeling of school pride.
What is your major and why?
Accounting. I have always enjoyed learning about money and wanted to give myself any advantage possible with personal finances.
What has been your favorite course at Moravian and why?
Happiness, taught by Naomi Gal. It is unfortunate that not everyone in this world can experience this class. She offered us a new way to look at life and ourselves which has forever changed me for the better.
What are your plans for the future once you finish your degree at Moravian?
After finishing my undergraduate at Moravian I plan to return for my MBA while using my last year of athletic eligibility.
What is your most memorable moment as a Greyhound?
Competing at the historic Penn Relays is something that I will never forget.
How has being an athlete helped you as a student and in the classroom?
The mentality of pouring every ounce of effort into athletics transfers directly over into academics.
What is the hardest part of your sport?
Having the patience to hold in excitement for the duration of our long season is hard. Motivation is simple, but staying calm and waiting for the opportune time to peak has proven to be difficult.
Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome.
Without a doubt, my sophomore year was filled with adversity. First, a high ankle sprain in preseason. Then a broken arm during our transition from indoor season to outdoor immediately followed by a second high ankle sprain.
Why is community service important to your role as a student-athlete at Moravian?
One of the greatest things a person can do is give back to the community they call their own. There is no better feeling than helping out the people we share our lives with or even a random stranger.
What advice do you have for a prospective Moravian College student-athlete?
Make the best of the time you are given. The people you meet and the experiences you have will shape your life forever, but on top of all that it is good to bring home some hardware.
