Moravian Men Place Second at Juniata College Invitational

HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's cross country squad previewed the course for the 2017 Landmark Conference Championships later this year at the Juniata College Invitational on Saturday and placed second of five teams.

Moravian was just five points behind the host Eagles. Four Landmark Conference schools participate on the race to preview the course for October.

Sophomore Gregory Jaindl paced the Greyhounds with a fourth place finish of 58 runners on the 8,000-meter course in 27:50.10. Junior Devon Harris was five seconds behind Jaindl in fifth place while sophomore Justin Beasley-Turner finished tenth in 28:58.0. Sophomore Gavin Kemery was 11th in the race in 29:06.70 while sophomore Peter Milewski rounded out the Moravian top five in 14th place in a time of 29:29.30.

Sophomore Benjamin Smith finished 15th in the race for the Hounds in a time of 29:30.40 while freshman Franklin Musnuff took 17th place in 29:38.00 in his first collegiate 8K race. Moravian had seven other runners in the race including freshman Jarred Kyra in a time of 30:02.90, senior Andrew Mitchell in 30:04.70, freshman Peter Gingrich with a time of 30:50.20, junior Aaron Hofmann in 31:39.20, freshman Billy Milburn in 32:17.70, senior Josh Toth at 33:13.90 and sophomore Alex Tursi in 33:25.20.

Moravian is slated to return to action on Friday, September 29 when the squads head to the Annual Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University on the Goodman Campus in South Bethlehem.
