Hounds Race In Paul Short Run Brown 8k

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's cross country team raced in the Brown 8K at the annual Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University Saturday.

How It Happened

  • The Hounds were 38th of the 47 teams in the Brown 8K, the second of three races that were run in addition to an open race
  • Junior Nathan Hajel paced the Greyhounds with a time of 26:16.6 to finished in 105th of the 400 competitors in the Brown race
  • The next Moravian runner to cross the finish line was freshman Nate Moore, who placed 222nd in 27:21.4 while freshman Logan Betyeman was 287th in a time of 27:56.4
  • Rounding out the Greyhounds' scoring five runners were freshman Will Weinlein in 296th at 28:00.5 and senior Josh Mangini two spots back in 28:01.0
  • In the open race, sophomore Joe Allegro added his name to Moravian's sub-28-minute list for the 8K with a time of 27:58.4 as he finished 303rd of 514 runners in the first race of the day
