Dalickas, George & Novak Earn NFCA All-Atlantic Region Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- Senior first baseman Jenn Dalickas of the Moravian College softball team has been named to the 2015 Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Atlantic Region First Team, and a total of three Greyhounds earned All-Region honors with senior center fielder Dior George and freshman pitcher Josie Novak were named to the All-Atlantic Region Third Team.

Dalickas, who earned First Team honors for the fourth consecutive season but the first time in the Atlantic Region as the Greyhounds were moved from the East to the Atlantic this spring, and is now eligible for Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-America honors which will be announced on Wednesday, May 20 at the championship banquet in Salem, Virginia prior to the start of the 2015 NCAA Division III World Series. George also the All-Region Team for a fourth straight year after being on the First Team last spring and the Second Team in 2012 and 2013.

The Greyhounds have posted a 37-6 overall record this season under the direction of 22-year Head Coach John Byrne, who as a career mark of 712-219. The squad was 11-1 in the Landmark Conference regular season action as Moravian went on to capture its sixth Landmark Tournament title and 14th conference championship. The Hounds, who are in the postseason for the 21st consecutive spring, won the Rochester (N.Y.) Regional last weekend and will compete in the NCAA Division III Super Regionals at DePauw University on Friday and Saturday, May 15-16.

Dalickas, who is also a four-time member of the Landmark All-Conference First Team and was the 2015 and 2014 Landmark Conference Player of the Year, leads Moravian with a .486 batting average to go along with 51 hits, 43 runs, 13 doubles, nine home runs to set the school mark with 35 in her career, 32 RBIs, 91 total bases, an .867 slugging percentage, a school record 49 walks and a .656 on-base percentage. Dalickas, who played first base for the second straight spring, has 237 putouts and 10 assists in the field.

George, who was a First Team All-Conference selection the past four seasons and the 2012 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year, was the second player in school history to reach 200 career hits, joined later by Dalickas as the third to hit the milestone, earlier this season, and George has set the school record in runs scored with 181. She is hitting .362 with 51 hits for 209 in her career, 38 runs, six doubles, one triple, seven home runs, 13 walks and 36 RBIs. George has also added 80 total bases, a .567 slugging percentage, 10 hit-by-pitch, a .446 on-base percentage and nine stolen bases. George has 50 putouts from her center field position as one of two Greyhounds to play in all 43 games.

Novak, who was also a member of the Landmark All-Conference First Team and the 2015 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year, is 18-5 in the circle with a save and six shutouts in 24 appearances with 22 starts. She has 1.40 ERA and 160 strikeouts to go with just 31 walks in 145 innings of action
