Assistant Coach Amy Rogers Inducted into Lehigh Valley Softball Hall of Fame

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- Moravian College Assistant Softball Coach Amy Rogers was inducted into the Lehigh Valley Softball Hall of Fame on Wednesday, June 14 at Patriots Park in Allentown for her career as a player at Liberty High School and coach at Notre Dame High School.

Rogers, who finished her eighth season on Moravian's staff in 2017, graduated from Liberty High School in 1988 and went on to Division I Indiana University on a full softball scholarship. She played four years at Indiana, earning Second Team All-Big Ten honors in 1991. Rogers, who is a science teacher and athletic director at Notre Dame, posted a 113-89 record as head coach at the school while taking the team to the District XI Tournament four times.

Rogers was a member of the 2016 Class for the Lehigh Valley Softball Hall of Fame but had a conflict with the induction date and received her honor this year with the 2017 Class of inductees. She joins Moravian Head Coach John Byrne, who was inducted into the Lehigh Valley Softball Hall of Fame in 2011.
