BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The No. 6 Moravian College softball team split a non-conference doubleheader versus Stevens Institute of Technology Tuesday afternoon at Blue & Grey Field, winning the opener, 5-2, and falling in the second contest, 2-1 in eight innings.

Freshman shortstop Maddisen Bieber connected on a sacrifice fly to bring in Brogan while freshman right fielder Brooke Wehr had a two-RBI single as Shaneberger and Markovic raced home. Stevens scored once in the top of the fourth while the Greyhounds answered in the bottom of the inning with a two-out double by junior center fielder Kat Spilman and an RBI single from Shaneberger.

The Ducks finished the scoring with a run in the top of the seventh frame.

With the contest scoreless through the regulation seven innings, the squads went to the international tiebreaker with a runner on second base to start the eighth frame. Stevens scored twice in the top of the eighth.

In the bottom half of the inning, Wehr began the inning on second base and raced home on an RBI single by Spilman but the Greyhounds were unable to get the equalizer.
