LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- The Moravian College softball squad jumped up five spots to fourth in the ninth regular season 2021 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Top 25 Poll released Wednesday.
The Greyhounds, who were No. 19 in the 2021 preseason poll announced in early February, No. 17 in the first regular season poll and then No. 19, No. 16, No. 15 for two weeks before moving to No. 10 for two weeks and No. 9 last week, are currently 26-0 on the season after sweeping a Landmark Conference series with Elizabethtown College last weekend to close out the 2021 regular season.
Moravian is slated to return to action on Saturday, May 8 when the Greyhounds host one of the two Landmark Conference Tournament Pods for the opening weekend of the double-elimination tournament. The Blue and Grey are the top seed and will play at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in the second of three games on the day against the winner of the play-in game between Juniata College and Elizabethtown College on May 6 and fourth seed Susquehanna University after that first game on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
