Why did you choose Moravian College?

I choose Moravian because I wanted to be able to follow my dreams of being a teacher while playing for a National Championship on an incredible softball team. It is truly the best of both worlds being able to pursue both my love of teaching and softball.

What is your major and why?

My major is Early Childhood Education because I want to make an impact on a child's life and help them learn more than they could ever imagine while having fun!

What has been your favorite course at Moravian and why?

All of my education courses because I am able to actively teach and listen to the experiences of my professors.

What are your plans for the future once you finish your degree at Moravian?

Get a job... preferably second grade!

What is your most memorable moment as a Greyhound?

Winning conferences on Susquehanna’s field my sophomore year and then going on to win Regionals with the best team in the world.

How has being an athlete helped you as a student and in the classroom?

It has made me stronger than I ever thought possible, giving me the motivation and time management skills needed to do everything I love in four years, while allowing me to meet lifelong friends and sisters.

What is the hardest part of your sport?

Losing and ACL tears... 3 in and I am still going! 

Why do you wear your jersey number?

I wear the number 22 because it was my sisters college number, my dads birthday, and my dogs name is Deuce (meaning 2)

Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome.

I have torn my ACL 2 times in college and once in High School, so pushing through and rehabbing has made me stronger than I knew I was. 

Why is community service important to your role as a student-athlete at Moravian?

Giving back is extremely important because having the opportunity to play a division 3 sport at an incredible school makes me the luckiest person in the world. I want to help give everyone the same opportunities that I did. 

What advice do you have for a prospective Moravian College student-athlete?

Enjoy every single moment wearing those 8 letters, MORAVIAN, on your chest. Wear them with pride and remember, you never take those letters off.
