  • Women's Basketball Heads to Spain & Portugal from May 20-30

    BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team will be heading to Spain and Portugal on Tuesday May 20 for 10 days of sightseeing and international games. A travel party of 17 will depart from Newark Airport for an overnight flight to Lisbon, before heading straight to Madrid.

    BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College honored its 2014 senior student-athletes at the annual Senior Athletics Awards Banquet Wednesday night in Johnston Hall. Women’s basketball standout Katie O’Rourke was named the Outstanding Senior Female Athlete while men’s track & field All-American Kristopher Joint was honored with the Outstanding Senior Male Athlete award. The Blue & Grey Scholar Athlete awards were presented to women’s basketball student-athlete Laura Jordan and football player Julian DiGiacomo. The H.T.D. Gillespie Award for outstanding service to Moravian’s athletics program was presented to Tom Keim ’49.

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- The National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA) announced today its 2014 Administrator of Tomorrow and Judith M. Sweet Commitment award recipients. Julia Martin (University of Pennsylvania), Kaylyn Smith (Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts) and Sara Steinman (Moravian College) were named Administrator of Tomorrow Award winners, and Katherine (Katie) McGann (University of California, San Diego) was honored with the Judith M. Sweet Commitment Award.
