Women's Basketball Participates in Pathway to Santa

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Members of the Moravian College women's basketball team took part in the Pathway to Santa at Lehigh Valley Muhlenberg Hospital Wednesday morning as the Greyhounds participated in the even for the fourth straight year.

Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk along with assistant coaches Amy Endler and Sara Steinman, manager and web streamming announcer senior Jackie Gordon, and four players - senior Alexis Wright, junior Marie Rossignoli and freshmen Trista Cunningham and Taylor Freeman - spent the morning at the hospital singing Christmas carols and spreading cheers to the patients.

"Singing through the hospital has been a tradition for us for the past few years," Spirk explained. "It is not only rewarding for the players to bring a smile to the faces of the patients, but it also forces the team to be thankful for our health and our voices! It is one of the best days of the year for our team."
