WILKES-BARRE, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's basketball team fell in a hard-fought non-conference game at Wilkes University, 70-64, Sunday afternoon.

The Greyhounds trailed early in the first half, but a jumper from junior guard Marie Rossignoli tied the game 14-14 with 13:30 left in the half. A three-pointer by Freeman would give the Hounds the lead, 26-24, for the first time with 8:00 minutes left to play in the first half. The teams would trade baskets until a layup from Wright and a three-pointer on the next play down the court from Emily MacDonnell put the Blue and Grey up 40-32 with 2:24 left in the first. Moravian would hold on to a one point lead, 40-39, at the half.

The second half saw the lead trade back-and-forth with Wilkes holding the lead most of the half and taking a 10 point advantage with 7:37 still left to play.
