The opening quarter was a back-and-forth affair with neither team leading by more than three points. There were five ties and five lead changes in the first 10 minutes of action with Moravian ending the period with a 13-12 lead after a pair of free throws from Cunningham.

The Greyhounds' offense had its most productive period in the second quarter and the defense stepped up as well as Moravian outscored Drew 21-8 in the second 10 minutes of action. McPherson hit a lay-up with 1:07 before the intermission to send the Hounds to the locker room with a 34-20 lead.

Moravian extended the lead in the third quarter to as many as 20 points after a jumper from Corvasce, and the Blue and Grey were up 47-29 heading to the final period. While the Greyhounds were limited to eight points in the final 10 minutes, the team's advantage remained in double digits for the remainder of the game.

The Hounds are slated to play at home for the first time in nearly a month on Saturday, January 9 when the squad hosts Elizabethtown College in a Landmark Conference game in Johnston Hall with tip-off set for 4:00 p.m.
