Women's Hoops Squad Begins 25-Game Schedule on November 15 Versus Rival Mules

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's basketball squad is set to begin its 2017-18 25-game slate on Wednesday, November 15 when the Greyhounds host a non-conference game versus rival Muhlenberg College beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.

The Hounds, who are in search of a 17th straight postseason appearance under the guidance of 31st-year Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk who is also in her first year as Moravian's Director of Athletics and Recreation, then head on the road for a season-long four-game road trip beginning at the Rinso Marquette Tournament hosted by Lebanon Valley College on November 18-19 with the Blue and Grey playing Eastern University in the opening round. Moravian will make the short trip to DeSales University on November 21 before heading to FDU-Florham on November 28.

The Greyhounds return to Johnston Hall on November 30 to host Wilkes University before a short trip to Elizabethtown College on December 2 to begin the 2017-18 Landmark Conference season. Moravian makes its way back to Johnston Hall for a season-long eight games beginning on Monday, December 4 versus The College of New Jersey. The Hounds will host Immaculata University on December 7 and Albright College on December 9 before a break for finals. Moravian returns to action on December 30 in the opening round of the Roosevelt's 21st Greyhound Classic against Allegheny College with the consolation and championship games set for the afternoon of New Year's Eve.

The Blue and Grey begin 2018 in Johnston Hall with three straight Landmark Conference contests as the final 13 games on the schedule will be conference match-ups. The Hounds host Susquehanna University on January 6, Drew University on January 10 and The Catholic University of America on January 13. Moravian will make trips to The University of Scranton on January 17 and Juniata College on January 20.

The Hounds are scheduled to welcome Goucher College on January 24 before a trip to Susquehanna on January 27. Moravian closes out the month by hosting Scranton on January 31, and the Greyhounds begin February with their annual Alumni Game and Play 4Kay contest against Elizabethtown College in Johnston Hall on February 3. The regular season finishes up with a road game at Goucher on February 7, Senior Day in Johnston Hall versus Juniata on February 10 and road trips to Drew University on February 14 and Catholic on February 17.

The 2018 Landmark Conference Tournament begins on Wednesday, February 21 with the top two teams in the four-team field hosting semifinal games. The conference championship game is slated for February 24 with the conference champion receiving an automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Division III Tournament.
