Camille McPherson '17 named as the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week.

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College graduate student forward Camille McPherson has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for her performance over the last two weeks.

McPherson was named the MVP of the 15th Roosevelt's Greyhound Classic after averaging 22.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game over the two victories. She connected on 16-of-33 field goal attempts, 5-of-11 three-pointers and 7-of-7 free throws while adding seven assists and four steals in 57 minutes of action.

McPherson began the tournament with 27 points on 11-of-13 shooting and 5-for-5 on three-pointers in just 20 minutes in an 86-67 victory over Allegheny College after a 21-day break. McPherson finished the tournament with 17 points, nine rebounds and six assists in a 71-54 win over William Paterson University in the championship game. She was named the Tournament MVP for a second straight year as Moravian won its 10th Greyhound Classic title.

"Camille had a terrific weekend," stated Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk. "What was most impressive about the two games was that she rebounded and passed the ball well, in addition to doing what Camille does best, score. She is finally healthy after a rough start of the season and we are all looking forward to her continued success as we move into conference play."

Moravian, which is 10-2 overall, is scheduled to continue its season-long eight-game home stand on Saturday, January 6 when the Greyhounds return to Landmark Conference action with a contest versus Susquehanna University tipping off at 4:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
