Why did you choose Moravian College?

I chose Moravian because the campus is small and the Education program is great here. The basketball team gives off a family vibe and I liked that. Also, the coaches were great when I came on my visit.

What is your major and why?

My major is Psychology with a certificate in Early Childhood Education. I chose this path because I love children and teaching young children is fun.

What has been your favorite course at Moravian and why?

My favorite course at Moravian was Young Adult Literature. I liked this course because Professor Peter Richmond was so funny and the books we read were interesting. We also had some great discussions in that class about the society we live in today

What are your plans for the future once you finish your degree at Moravian?

Once I finish my degree at Moravian, I would like to go to graduate school for Psychology. Then, I would love to become a teacher.

What is your most memorable moment as a Greyhound?

My most memorable moment as a Greyhound was when I shot a crazy buzzer basket against Drew. This was memorable because I remember hearing the coaches yell “Shoot it! Shoot it!” and I chucked it up and banked it in. It was the funniest, yet coolest thing ever.

How has being an athlete helped you as a student and in the classroom?

Being an athlete has helped me in many ways as a student and in the classroom. As a student, it has helped me push myself to do well in my classes. I always strive for success, so I can perform on the basketball court. It taught me how to have great time management skills.

What is the hardest part of your sport?

The hardest part of basketball is staying composed on the court. Once you are upset, your opponents and everyone watching can see it.

Why do you wear your jersey number?

I wear #45 because my older brother, Stephen, plays football and he is #45.

Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome.

I sprained my ankle really bad last year and it caused me to miss the first four games of the season. I had to really learn how to stay positive and push myself to be able to come back healthy.

Why is community service important to your role as a student-athlete at Moravian?

Giving back to the community is important to me because some people are not as fortunate as me. I am glad I attend Moravian, where we are involved in the community. Our community supports us as well, so giving back to them is a priority.

What advice do you have for a prospective Moravian College student-athlete?

My advice would be to make the best out of everything. Put yourself out there to meet new people and join new clubs. Strive to be the best you can be, that means in school and in your sport. Enjoy your time and make great memories.
